We are teatreBLAU, a registered charity. We believe that the personal interaction between people from different countries is key to creating an interesting, peaceful future.

teatreBLAU initiates international cultural projects and seeks to create teams comprising of artists from different art forms. Socially relevant topics are addressed from different perspectives. Similarities and differences of approach emerge and a new language of art evolves for the artists as well as the audience.

Our first project is Voices of Damascus. It examines the city through five art forms: drama, dance, music, painting and photography and film. The project aims to help the people of Damascus by portraying them and their cultural identity, by engaging the damascene artists in a dialogue with the rest of the world, and by presenting the work we develop in different cities around the world.

In December 2017, we organised and attended a think tank in Mallorca Spain. The team members met and discussed Damascus, its cultural activity and what pilots they could work on.

In May 2018, teatreBLAU participated in INCART where with a dance performance which was a collaboration between Haraka from Syria and Andrea Cruz.

Currently we are developing a dance project, The scent up a window opening

a documentary film, Close-up_Zoom-out by Santiago Stankovic, and a play, Home, by Roua Horanieh.

We are also aiming for a university student exchange program between Syria and Germany.
